Ski holiday in the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites

Winter magic in Lüsen and on the Plose

Lüsen offers a peaceful alternative to the larger ski resorts in South Tyrol. Right by the hotel, beginners can practice on the home slope, while experienced skiers can easily access the nearby Plose ski resort, with perfectly groomed slopes and breathtaking views of the Dolomites. For even more variety, the ski resorts of Val Gardena with the world-famous Sellaronda and Kronplatz are just an hour away, allowing for a truly personalized ski holiday experience. Whether on the vast slopes or the quieter hills, skiers and snowboarders of all levels will find something to enjoy.

The best part: Ski and cross-country ski equipment can be rented directly at the home slope or at Plose. Additionally, lockers are available at the Plose ski slope to store your gear and belongings for the next day, making your winter vacation at the Nature Hotel Lüsnerhof a true skiing pleasure.

The Plose ski resort in South Tyrol

Located just 15 kilometers from Lüsen, the snow-sure Plose ski area rises above the town of Brixen in the Eisack Valley on its namesake mountain. A free ski shuttle runs directly from the hotel to the Plose ski area twice a day and brings you back again in the afternoon.

The resort features 16 slopes (blue, red, and black) and 9 lifts spread across 40 kilometers of ski runs. Adding to this is South Tyrol’s longest valley descent, the 9-kilometer “Trametsch.” NEW this season is the rail-guided Plose Bob alpine coaster.

Cross-Country Skiing in South Tyrol

The Lüsner Alm is one of the largest, most expansive, and most spectacular cross-country skiing areas in South Tyrol. Across white alpine meadows and through quiet conifer forests, 50 kilometers of cross-country trails lead to remote corners and stunning viewpoints of this high-alpine plateau, which remains pristine and untouched even in winter.

The Lüsnerhof offers weekly introductory cross-country skiing courses with instructor Manni, giving guests the opportunity to discover this wonderfully healthy and invigorating sport.
