Healing Arts and Traditional Knowledge from Lüsen in South Tyrol
The spirit of the Lüsnerhof is shaped by the knowledge of the Ragginer family of healers. This family of doctors, active in the 18th and 19th centuries, helped people in Lüsen and beyond heal through herbal recipes and natural healing methods. The Ragginer lived and worked at the Gargitthof, located above the Lüsnerhof. Though the property has since been reclaimed by nature, its mystical history and healing knowledge continue to live on at the Lüsnerhof.
During the construction of the hotel, reclaimed wood and stones from the former farmhouse were reused. Additionally, the herbal teas at the Lüsnerhof and the treatments in the bathhouse are inspired by the traditional recipes of the Ragginer.
The legacy of this family of doctors is preserved and passed on to future generations at the Lüsnerhof Herb Hotel every day. The Ragginer's textbook is available at the reception for €25.00.

Starting from the blooming season, we invite you once a week to join our herbal expert Herta in creating natural herbal creams, salts, deodorants, smudge bundles, and oils. In doing so, we adapt the traditional recipes of the Ragginer in a modern way. The natural products are especially soothing for muscles and joints, while the fresh, resinous scent revitalizes body, mind, and soul.
