What happens when we stop looking with our eyes – and start to look with our heart and really feel?
The Blind Somatic Experience at the Lüsnerhof with expert Kornelia Schwitzer is a special form of somatic bodywork that combines mindfulness, movement, and inner awareness. Nestled in the tranquility of this nature hotel in South Tyrol, it creates a space for genuine sensation and transformation.
Surrounded by alpine meadows, mountain air, and silence, the Lüsnerhof invites you to let go of external stimuli. When your eyes are blindfolded, a new dimension of “feeling within” opens up: contact with your own body and inner experience.
HOW IT ALL BEGINS
The Blind Somatic Experience is a mindful, body-oriented experience in which the emotions and experiences that have become stuck in your body as blockages are dissolved. It is offered by transformation expert Kornelia Schwitzer in one-on-one sessions as well as in group sessions.
Kornelia guides you with a calm voice, clear presence, and great sensitivity. Once you feel comfortable and settled, your eyes are covered and you are allowed to turn your attention inward. You sit relaxed while selected music and Kornelia's meaningful words provide conscious impulses and give space to emotions. Without visual distractions, the body itself becomes the guide. Feelings and tensions become more noticeable and are allowed to flow and be released. It is not about performance or goals – but about perception and trust.
DURING THE SESSION
The session follows a flowing rhythm. Kornelia works with elements from somatic bodywork. In the one-on-one session, this means that, in addition to the music she has carefully selected, she also uses mindful touch and movement impulses supported by profound words that serve as aids to transformation. Everything happens in dialogue with your nervous system—at your body's pace. Some guests experience deep relaxation, others emotional clarity or inner images. Each Blind Somatic Experience is individual and is tailored to the topic to be worked on in the personal sessions – and that is precisely what makes it so special.
At the end, there is time to reflect. Many describe a feeling of lightness, clarity, and a deep inner peace – as if something has been rearranged.
EXPERIENCE: WATER FLOW IN THE SALT GROTTO
A very special variation of the Blind Somatic Experience is the Water Flow in the salt grotto at the Lüsnerhof. The flow begins with breathing exercises while seated in the salty grotto. Afterwards, the body is allowed to float effortlessly in the warm, salty water, allowing the muscles and nervous system to relax. This feeling of being carried deepens relaxation and body awareness and helps you to surrender completely to lightness and inner confidence.
A NOTICEABLE EFFECT THAT LINGERS
In our everyday lives, we are strongly oriented toward the outside world. The Blind Somatic Experience at the Lüsnerhof deliberately reverses this orientation. It helps to:
- calm the nervous system
- strengthen body awareness and self-regulation
- release emotions and physical and mental blockages
- regain confidence
- reconnect with yourself
