Alpine organic architecture

Millions of years old dolomite rock, Swiss stone pine and larch wood & more

Our naturellness® hotel in the Dolomites was built with alpine earth elements and authentic craftsmanship. This is why our guests spend their holidays surrounded by the powerful healing energies of unspoilt nature – not only outdoors but also indoors. For our nature hotel, the healing power of rock was the top priority. We have collected millions of years old dolomite rock from selected places in the Puez Geisler Nature Park and brought it to Lüsen. From the old Gargitthof farm in Lüsen, where the dynasty of doctors of the Ragginers lived for several generations and healed people with the healing powers of nature, we collected rocks and old wood.

Solid larch and pinewood were obtained from the forests that surround Lüsen. The hotel’s façade, walls, ceilings, and furniture in the rooms as well as relaxation and wellness areas not only spread a pleasant, beguiling scent, but also guarantee maximum relaxation and sweet dreams at 1,100 metres above sea level. The wall heating with its healthy radiant heat is hidden behind health-promoting clay walls. These regulate humidity, absorb pollutants, and make a significant contribution to a comfortable living environment. High-quality natural materials such as the fine Laas marble underline not least the unique alpine organic architecture of the Lüsnerhof.

Lüsnerhof

In terms of sustainable construction, I did not want to build a hotel that would have to be demolished and rebuilt in 50 years. I wanted the opposite: to build a hotel that would be more beautiful in 50 years than it is today and that would blend in beautifully with the surrounding landscape.

Franz Hinteregger, host and hiking guide

The dimensions of our nature hotel

On the basis of a public welfare balance, we deliberately do not want to expand our nature hotel any further. A respectful approach to the environment and nature today is also the vision for the next century – and for the future of our grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
